Dad's folk-art work exhibition

In Alytus town, Lithuania recently was opened my dad's art work exhibition.

The exhibition “Skrydis” will be opened until 15 March 2012, address Vilniaus g. 13, Alytus. If you are nearby, please visit. Here are some photos from the exhibition opening day.

"Gold Crown"

 My dad Rimantas Zinkevičius is a great artist.
He participates in many competitions and glorifies our town’s Ukmerge name.
Dad participates in exhibitions since 1975.
He won many awards. Two times (2006 and 2007) he was awarded as best folk-artist of Lithuania. In 2005 at awards “Aukso Vainikas”: (“Gold Crown”) he won best artist in Vilnius region. In 2008 and 2011 he won “Gold Crown”. These nominations are the highest wards you can achieve in Lithuania, so I’m very proud of him.

Today's temperatures in Ukmerge n Darwin

I read news this morning that in Lithuania, in my town Ukmerge it was this winter's record in temperature: minus 31.10C! Wow that is so cold. It's hard to believe, because today in Darwin is 31C. Well that is 60 degrees difference!
